Other Internet Resources
We have been collecting the best resources on the internet for years, having been on the web since 1994. We frequently update this page to indicate which websites we have been using for reference and research in the area of architecture, construction, and design-build. These links are of particular use to people in the architectural and design-build fields.
Some of our favorites:
BuildingTeam.com: This site is an online original, instead of repurposing printed text for the web, this incomparable resource includes industry news, R.S. Means Project Cost Data, project leads, and links to sites where actual city and state codes can be found, along with the organizations responsible for writing the codes.
ProFile on the Web: ProFile is an excerpted version of the print publication which lists current and past projects of architectural firms, along with contact information.
Sweet's Online: Another print publication making its way to the web is the Sweets catalog of building products. This is a comprehensive listing of products that can be specified, and can be searched not only by vendor, but also by breakdown in any of the 16 Divisions.
Builder: The Magazine of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has its homepage here.
American Institute of Architects: George H. Suddell is a member of the Institute, and their website proves to be a valuable resource for members, including access to the catalog of the AIA Library.
