Type: Professional Medical Condo
Location: North Shore of Long Island, New
York
Description: as architects working with an
open and undeveloped interior plan our primary
concern was with the exterior architecture. All
buildings when putting their best foot forward
need a dramatic entry. We decided to create a
triumphal arch set at a 45-degree angle to the
doors entering the building. The strong
horizontal fenestration sits low in the pine
barrens of Long Island. When watching pedestrians
using the building we noticed that people
entering the structure took a curiosity and
excitement in walking through the archway. We
felt as if our job was a job well done. |
